Arezu Piroozmandi a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Seattle, WA

Dr. Arezu Piroozmandi

 DNP, PMHNP-BC

(She/Her/Hers)

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over a decade of experience in the field of mental health, I provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management for a wide range of psychiatric conditions. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Washington and have worked across diverse settings including inpatient crisis stabilization, adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatry, and private practice. I spent much of my nursing career in inpatient psychiatric crisis stabilization at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Harborview Medical Center, where I developed a strong foundation in acute psychiatric care.

My approach to mental health care is grounded in the belief that psychological wellness is shaped by both personal and cultural influences. My diverse background and encounters have taught me that psychological illnesses are just as critical as physical illnesses. I acknowledge and appreciate diversity and multi-cultured backgrounds and believe this to be an influential asset in my ability to connect with individuals, through a holistic lens that honors each person's unique background and values.

In our sessions, you can expect to be met with empathy, respect, and compassion. My priority is to provide the highest level of therapeutic individualized care tailored to your specific goals and needs. I am dedicated to involving you in decisions regarding starting or adjusting medications and strive to ensure you feel informed and empowered throughout your treatment journey. In addition to medication management, I incorporate brief talk therapy, motivational interviewing, and health education to help foster resilience, insight, and growth.

Please note, I do not specialize in treating addiction or active substance use.
