(She/Her/Hers)

I  am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, providing  comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnostic clarification, and  psychiatric treatment plans. My primary focus is medication management  with supportive psychotherapy and psychoeducation. I have over a decade  of experience in the mental health field, including working with adults,  teens, and children. I especially enjoy working with teens and young  adults.

I  have a Master of Science in Nursing from Seattle University and a  Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. I have 9  years of experience working at Seattle Children’s in the psychiatry  department including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department  mental health settings.

My  experience has taught me that healing is a journey we most often do not  venture alone. I see myself as a guide, providing insights,  recommendations, and tools grounded in scientific evidence. You are the  expert of your own perspective, shaped by your strengths, passions,  cultural background, intersectionalities, and lived experiences.  Together, we will co-create a treatment plan that works for you and your  individual goals.

Mental  health, like physical health, is a lifelong journey. With life changes,  some experience anxiety, grief, or trauma that hits with a sudden agony  like breaking a bone. For others, depression parallels chronic pain, as  a daily weight a person carries for years and yearns to set down.  Mental health medications can offer a life raft to those who are  struggling. For many, reaching out for help and considering taking  medication is a big hurdle. I will provide you with the education you  need about medications to make informed decisions about your own care,  in addition to alternative means of support and evidence-based  treatments that fit your needs.

I  am strongly invested in gender-affirming care and supporting gender  exploration in youth. For the adults caring for gender-diverse youth, it  can be a complex journey. I am here to support adults and teens in  education regarding gender-affirming care and its impacts on mental  health. I do not currently provide gender-affirming hormones.

I enjoy working with people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and have expertise in this area. I do not currently provide comprehensive evaluations for initial diagnosis of Autism, which often includes neuropsychological testing.

Areas of focus:  ADHD in Children/Teens, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorders,  Depression/Mood Disorders, Gender Diverse Youth/Young Adults, Grief,  LGBTQIA+, PTSD/Trauma. Ages 12+ (<11 yrs on a case-by-case basis).
