Dr. Melissa Newton-Mora
DNP, PMHNP-BC
(She/Her/Hers)
As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am dedicated to providing care that is compassionate, collaborative, and centered on you. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your treatment.
I work with patients ages 16 and older who are experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, trauma, or major life changes. Together we will develop a personalized plan that may include therapy, lifestyle approaches, and medication when needed. I also value de-prescribing when appropriate, always aiming for the least medication necessary to support your well-being.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington, and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. Over the past ten years, I have cared for patients in diverse settings including Harborview Medical Center and Fairfax Behavioral Health. These experiences have shaped my holistic, trauma informed, and inclusive approach to treatment.
I am passionate about helping people build resilience, restore balance, and move toward greater clarity and fulfillment. It is an honor to walk with patients as they take steps toward healing and growth.
